DIY: Scrabble Refrigerator Magnets

Or, rather, I'm growing one. Excuse me while
I revert to improper grammar whilst talking of my son.  It can't be helped.
Yes. Yes I have a cute. A cute baby, that is, and I don't care who knows it.

These scrabble magnets are also cute; perhaps even darling. Let's examine them closer.

I've been wanting to do this project for some time. It's coming about was prolonged only because I refused to spend oodles of money on a brand new scrabble set when I knew I was only going to use the tiles.

I have too much respect for Scrabble sets in brand-new condition, you see. They ought to be respected and used according to original intent, i.e., used as Scrabble pieces in the game of Scrabble.

Yes. I revere the game of Scrabble. Sue me, but I do.

Which is why I literally waited months until I found a complete set in a thrift store. The tiles were very happy to be repurposed.

I bought some inexpensive magnetic tape, cut it into small pieces, and applied it to the backs of the tiles. It took all of half and hour and the total cost of the project was six bucks.

Why, lookie there! A magnet!
My new magnets, very much at home on my refrigerator.
So classy.

If thrifiting is your thing, keep an eye out for used Scrabble sets - this project was a cinch and looks so chic!
