Fail: Faux-reos
This is the tale of some sad Oreos. Sad, but extremely tasty. Nothing tastes better than an Oreo fail.
You may recall that I tried to make these before. The filling was delectable, but the cookies were too thick. This time around, the filling was delectable, but the cookies were too thin. Don't get me wrong; they tasted even better than the mass-produced Oreo cookie . . . they were just too thin. I never thought I'd say this, but I need more cookie in my Oreos. This did not, however, keep me from eating and sharing them. No one complained. One day soon, I'm going to try the recipe for a third time and am convinced I'll finally hit on perfection.
In the meantime, let me just put this piece of dangerous information out there: if you make your own Oreos, you can decide on the amount of filling. As in, you can put as much as you want on the cookie. As in, double-double stuffed Oreos anyone? Run for the hills, milk.
