Home Sweet Home

We finally have a home! And by home, I mean a place where we shall be living for the foreseeable future as opposed to just a few months.

Home. Isn't that word sweet?

Here's a pictorial tour of our two bed, two bath apartment. We've never had so much space, y'all. I feel like I can breathe!

This is our family room. It's rectangular and deep. As you can see, we had just brought in all our personal belongings, which from this picture appear to be an assortment of duffle bags and backpacks. Classy: we has it.

And now, the kitchen. It and I are already friends. Mostly because the oven seems to have proved itself up to the task of baking bread.

This is the guest bedroom, which is currently the music and miscellaneous room. It has a killer bathroom attached to it. (I think we can just assume from here on out that whenever I refer to a room being "killer," it means I've visited Target.) I've already decorated it, so pics will be up soon.

Excuse the open toilet seat. We found it that way. Promise.
This would be our masterbath. Despite the fact that it is oddly rectangular, I have plans for it. I'm thinking a navy and kelly green theme with gold accents.

View from the door.
Let me introduce you to our shower curtain. It's green and viney.

View from the far wall.

This is our bedroom, complete with what looks like more duffle bags and - you guessed it - an air mattress. At this point in our tour, I'm wondering if I should have cleaned up a bit, but there's only so much cleaning you can do when there's nowhere to put stuff except the floor. And it just makes the before and after pics look that much better. (Me and my laziness. We will win every time.)

I love new houses. They're like clean slates, just waiting for some Renoir prints and bright throw pillows!

  2. I loooove how the kitchen has a nook!!! That is so cool! Wow, every room looks so big and spacious. Personally, I think that extra space in the bathroom is just crying out to be filled with a hot tub.. you know, maybe for Christmas next year? (Does Ryan read this? ;)
