Thankful

For "weeds" and tiny yellow gumdrop flowers,

for my second favorite flower (peonies!) in all their blooming pinkness,

for these flowers and how they cling mightily for support, 

for red strawberries in blue cardboard boxes

for daises so bright and expentant of the sun,

for a little eight and a half month old with sleepy eyes and the remnants of breakfast.
