Something Akin to Poetry, Compliments of Anthropologie

Taken Fall 2007
First of all, Anthropologie. Don't even get me started. I love them. LOVE. THEM.

Secondly, as I was flipping through their fall catalog, I found this lovely reverie about autumn. Despite the fact that it's, well, about autumn and we are decidedly hurtling through winter, I decided to share it. It spoke to me. What can I say?

"October is the finest month.

We decide this while sitting at the window watching the tugs slice through the morning harbor, all steam and clangs and steel.

It's not like us to visit this time of year, when the water has cooled and the leaves are anything but green, but we longed to make the drive north along the coast to visit the place we once called home.

In three days we did all that we had set out to do: catch giant fish, wake up to the white warmth of the sun, eat blueberry jam by the spoonful, fetch firewood by lamplight, hike at dawn. Things we once loved, things grandfather taught us well."

Quiet beauty, happy memories; and still moments. Aaahhh.
